I’m Nikki Otto, and through my landscape photography, I hope to share God's personal message of Love for each one of us. His message of love and personality resonates through His majestic landscapes, dynamic wildlife and His spectacular display of light especially in those golden hours.

The Western Cape's coastline is a living canvas where ocean, flora, and mountain meet — a place of light, texture, and timeless rhythm. As a photographer I hope to share fleeting moods and enduring forms images that tell a story of time, power and endurance.
The endangered African Penguin - landscape nature images were taken at Stony Point Penguin Colony - as part of my fine art nature photography portfolio for prints

These wildlife photography images for prints of the endangered African penguin were taken at Betty's Bay Nature Reserve there are less than 15000 breeding pairs left in South Africa - unbeknown to these "Happy feet" - time is precious.

In Betty's Bay, the mighty ocean’s waves crash against a vibrant Fynbos landscape, a spectacular narrative of God's design where each living creature has their own purpose within His blue print, a foreshadowing message of newness to come. In God's narrative the oceans roar and the birds whistle their own tune. It's where the wind whips up the waves and creates a curtain of showers that give movement to an image that is still and silent.

As a photographer - I hope to bring alive a moment that you can experience as your own personal heart resonation with a landscape or seascape image that touches your soul where you can feel the elements, taste the salt and know that you are part of God's wonderous creation. His message of love - God is love.

The word Fynbos comes from the Dutch meaning fine bush - and it certainly accentuates a landscape or seascape image. But this is what makes it remarkable - it's been termed "Exceptional Biodiversity and Endemism" which means that it's only found in certain areas of the world; here in the Western Cape - and less dense fynbos vegetation in the Eastern Cape of South Africa

But here in Betty's Bay, fynbos could be described as prolific - and deliciouis fynbos honey is testimony to how this biosphere is taken care of, one can still hear bees buzzing in the day and frogs croaking at night - these creatures are God's indicators of the environmental wellbeing of an eco-system.
